Laval Launches “Senior Services at Your Fingertips” Campaign

The CISSS de Laval (Laval Integrated Health and Social Services Centre) has launched its new campaign, “Senior Services at Your Fingertips,” designed to make it easier for seniors and caregivers to find local resources that meet their needs.

Developed in collaboration with several Laval organizations working with seniors experiencing a loss of autonomy, the campaign uses multiple communication tools to reach the community:

  • Advertisements on CISSS and City of Laval TV screens and outdoor municipal panels;
  • Social media posts and articles in Vivre à Laval magazine;
  • Bookmarks distributed in libraries and flyers available in local pharmacies.

This initiative stems from priorities identified during the Regional Home Support Consultation, led by the Table régionale de concertation des aînés de Laval, which found that many seniors and caregivers are unaware of available services. By providing clear “entry points” to information, the CISSS hopes to encourage seniors to seek help when needed.

“Getting the right service at the right time helps seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. Supporting caregivers by offering guidance, listening and respite is also essential so they can continue their role while taking care of themselves,”
said Annie Fortier, Director of the Program for Supporting the Autonomy of Seniors.

For health workers and community organizations, the campaign also aims to simplify referrals, ensuring seniors are directed to the services best suited to their situation. It further seeks to identify isolated or vulnerable seniors who may not know where to turn for assistance.

Because senior safety is everyone’s concern, residents are invited to help connect seniors in need with the proper resources:
