The first edition of the Festival Manger santé de Laval took place this weekend at Centropolis, bringing together dozens of exhibitors specializing in healthy food, wellness and lifestyle products.

Held from July 9 to 11, the three-day event invited visitors to discover new foods, sample products and meet businesses and professionals working in nutrition, health and well-being.

More than 50 exhibitors take part

A total of 54 exhibitors participated in the inaugural festival, presenting a wide range of products and services.

Festivalgoers were able to explore booths featuring organic foods, plant-based products, fresh fruits and vegetables, natural foods and other healthy alternatives. Many exhibitors offered free tastings, allowing visitors to sample products before purchasing them.

Among the participating businesses was Lufa Farms, which operates seven rooftop greenhouses across Quebec and offered visitors the opportunity to taste some of its fresh produce.

Health and wellness beyond food

The festival extended beyond nutrition by bringing together professionals from the health, wellness and beauty sectors.

Visitors could learn about personal wellness services, speak directly with health and lifestyle professionals and discover products from established wellness brands. Massage services were also available throughout the event.

The combination of food exhibitors and wellness professionals created a diverse experience, allowing visitors to explore different aspects of healthy living in one location.

Rainy start followed by sunnier days

The festival opened on Thursday under rainy conditions, similar to the Laval Wine and Spirits Festival held at Centropolis the previous weekend by Groupe Espace événementiel de Laval.

While the opening day was affected by the weather, conditions improved over the following two days, allowing visitors to enjoy the outdoor site under more favourable skies.

Strong attendance for inaugural edition

On site, the festival attracted a steady flow of visitors throughout the weekend.

The inaugural edition brought together food producers, wellness businesses, health professionals and local entrepreneurs, giving residents an opportunity to discover new products, participate in tastings and connect directly with exhibitors.
