FC Supra falls 3-2 to Vancouver after surrendering two-goal lead
FC Supra du Québec saw a two-goal advantage disappear on Sunday, September 6, as Vancouver FC completed a 3-2 comeback in a Canadian Premier League match with significant implications for the playoff race.
The defeat leaves Supra eight points behind fourth-place Vancouver, which currently occupies the final playoff position. It also came two days after the Laval club announced the signing of Canadian international defender Zachary Brault-Guillard through the end of the 2026 season.
Supra scores twice in four minutes
Despite facing early pressure from Vancouver’s wingers, Supra opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Matisse Chrétien rose to meet a corner from Sean Rea and headed the ball past goalkeeper Callum Irving.
Ibrahim Condé doubled the lead four minutes later, finishing from near the penalty spot after an individual move and pass by David Choinière.
Supra controlled much of the following period, but Vancouver found a way back into the match in the 35th minute. A cross from Amissi was intercepted by Keesan Ferdinand, whose attempted clearance went into his own net.
Lys Mousset then equalized shortly before halftime, heading in a cross from Tom Field to make it 2-2.
Elage Bah completes Vancouver’s comeback
Choinière struck the post shortly after the restart, but the decisive goal came from Vancouver in the 72nd minute.
Elage Bah capitalized on an error by Ali Abzi, collecting the ball in stride before curling a shot past Supra goalkeeper Marko Milli.
Supra pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages. Rea tried his luck from distance, while Loïc Kwemi sent a half-volley wide following a move involving Thomas Lebeuf and Omar Elkalkouli. Vancouver held on to end a three-match losing streak.

Razzaghi questions his team’s response
Following the defeat, Supra head coach Nick Razzaghi expressed frustration with his team’s inability to manage the match after taking the lead.
“We lacked desire,” Razzaghi said, according to the match report. He added that the team had faced similar situations several times and questioned whether the players were willing to learn and change their approach.
“It’s a question of character. It’s no longer a question of experience, it’s a question of desire,” he said, also pointing to concentration and professionalism.
Vancouver head coach Martin Nash credited his team’s willingness to continue fighting after falling behind.
“In previous years, we wouldn’t have had that response after going down 2-0,” Nash said. He expressed hope that the comeback would give his players confidence for the remainder of the season.
Bah also cautioned against assuming Vancouver’s playoff position was secure, noting that the season would only be complete after all 28 matches had been played.
Brault-Guillard joins Supra through 2026
Ahead of the match, FC Supra announced on September 4 that it had signed Canadian international defender Zachary Brault-Guillard through the remainder of the 2026 season.
The club said the signing was pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
The announcement was accompanied by photographs featuring Brault-Guillard, head coach Nick Razzaghi and club president Rocco Placentino.
The signing adds an experienced Canadian international to Supra’s defensive options as the club continues its inaugural CPL campaign.

FC Supra will return home to Stade Boréale on Saturday, September 12, to face the Halifax Wanderers. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
