Thirty volunteers gathered in Laval on October 4 to plant 150 native trees and shrubs as part of the annual TD Tree Days program.

The activity took place near Bois de la Source and was organized locally in collaboration with CANOPÉE – Le réseau des bois de Laval.

The initiative is part of a national volunteer program led by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, which supports community tree planting and the revitalization of public green spaces.

Community planting in Laval

The Laval activity brought together residents and volunteers for an afternoon of planting and environmental stewardship.

According to the organizers, volunteers were shown how to properly plant trees and shrubs before taking part in tasks such as digging, planting, mulching and watering.

The meeting point was at Parc Saint-Édouard on 18th Avenue, near Bois de la Source.

CANOPÉE coordinated the local activity and prepared the site and planting materials.
