FC Supra du Québec has signed Canadian defender Zachary Fernandez to a standard player contract through the 2026 season, with a club option for 2027.

The signing was announced by the club on June 5 as FC Supra continues its inaugural Canadian Premier League campaign and prepares for a league match against Pacific FC on June 6 at Stade TELUS-Université Laval in Quebec City.

CPL experience added to the back line

Fernandez, 24, joins FC Supra with previous Canadian Premier League experience at Halifax Wanderers FC and Valour FC.

According to the club, he has made more than 93 appearances across all competitions since making his CPL debut in 2022.

Fernandez is a product of the CF Montréal Academy and later played with AS Blainville in Ligue1 Québec. He also helped the club compete in the 2021 Canadian Championship before moving into the professional ranks.

Return from injury

FC Supra said Fernandez has already spent recent months training with the team while completing rehabilitation from an ACL injury sustained in August 2025. The club indicated he has now been fully cleared to play.

Sporting director Mateo Cabanettes said in the release that Fernandez brings experience, energy and versatility to the team’s defensive unit.

Match in Quebec City

The announcement comes as FC Supra prepares to bring CPL action to Quebec City for its June 6 fixture against Pacific FC.

The club stated that supporters travelling from Montreal can reserve a place on a limited-seat fan bus departing from Stade Boréale at 2:45 p.m., with a return planned after the match.
