Romados to open first Laval location in Vimont on March 25

The Montreal-based Portuguese rotisserie Romados is set to open its first Laval location on March 25, marking an expansion into the region after more than three decades in Montreal.
The new restaurant will be located at 1773 Boulevard des Laurentides in the Vimont neighbourhood, in a space previously occupied by Pâtisserie Lajeunesse.
A well-known Montreal institution
Founded in 1994 and led by owner George Karaglanis, Romados built its reputation at its original location on Rachel Street East in Montreal.
The restaurant is known for its charcoal-grilled Portuguese chicken, homemade piri-piri sauce and traditional desserts such as pastéis de nata. According to the company, the brand has maintained strong customer interest over the years, including following its reopening after a temporary closure during the pandemic in 2021.
Opening confirmed for March 25
While the opening had initially been planned for mid-March, the official inauguration is now scheduled for Wednesday, March 25.
In a social media post published March 20, the restaurant confirmed the launch and invited Laval residents to attend, highlighting its signature menu items including grilled chicken, fries and house sauce.
Menu and concept
The Laval location will offer the core Romados menu, including whole or portioned rotisserie chicken, sandwiches and homemade sides.
According to the announcement, the new branch will also introduce additional Portuguese dishes tailored to local tastes. Services will include dine-in, takeout and delivery.
