Canada’s largest RV gathering draws visitors to Montreal

Many outdoor enthusiasts, including residents from Laval, attended the 36th Montreal RV Show, held from March 5 to 8 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
Organized by the Association des commerçants de véhicules récréatifs du Québec (ACVRQ), the event is described as the largest recreational vehicle gathering in Canada. More than 300 recreational vehicles and 120 exhibitors were presented during the four-day exhibition, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and models in the rapidly evolving RV industry.
A showcase of innovation in the RV industry
The 2026 edition highlighted the growing interest among Quebecers in flexible and autonomous travel across Canada. Industry representatives noted a rise in demand for four-season vehicles designed to withstand northern climates, as well as compact models suited for couples, families and digital nomads.
“The Montreal RV Show reflects the rapid evolution of our industry and Quebecers’ sustained enthusiasm for more flexible and accessible ways to travel,” said Steve Lapierre, general manager of ACVRQ.
Several product unveilings and premieres were presented during the event.
Among them, Quebec manufacturer Nova Camp introduced a new unit built with a fully welded thermoplastic composite structure designed to be completely watertight and backed by a ten-year warranty against water infiltration.

Quebec-built motorhome unveiled
One of the major highlights of the exhibition was the official unveiling of Fjord, a new Quebec brand presenting its first motorhome designed and assembled in Montreal.
The compact four-season vehicle is designed for two to four occupants and features a modular interior layout. One of its key innovations is a convertible shower system integrated into the kitchen counter, transforming the space into a fully enclosed bathroom.
Visitors also had the chance to see the Canadian premiere of the Westfalia Wave for 2, a compact camper van manufactured in Canada that combines European design influences with North American standards.
Tourism inspiration and travel planning
Beyond vehicle displays, the exhibition also promoted tourism across Canada. Representatives from several provinces and regions were present, including Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon and New Brunswick, along with Quebec destinations such as Côte-Nord, Outaouais and the Mégantic region.
The event also marked the launch of the new Quebec Camping Guide, listing 1,160 campgrounds across the province and offering information to help travelers plan their trips.
In addition, nearly 30 conferences were presented during the show, covering topics such as route planning, vehicle technology, road safety and full-time RV living.
According to organizers, visitors purchasing a recreational vehicle during the event could benefit from promotional financing offers in partnership with Desjardins Group, as well as the possibility of receiving up to $10,000 off their purchase.
