More than 10,000 visitors attend Laval’s Wine and Spirits and Healthy Eating festivals

More than 10,000 people attended two new summer festivals held at Centropolis over consecutive weekends in July, according to the organizers.
The Festival des Vins et Spiritueux de Laval, held from July 2 to 4, and the inaugural Festival Manger Santé de Laval, held from July 9 to 11, each welcomed more than 5,000 visitors and featured over 50 exhibitors, organizers said in a press release.
Together, the events brought more than 100 exhibitors to Laval, representing wineries, distilleries, food producers, health and wellness organizations, artisans and local businesses.
Organizers highlight strong turnout
Festival organizer David De Cotis said the attendance reflects growing interest in community-focused events in Laval.
“Our vision has always been to create festivals that celebrate people, culture and local entrepreneurship while giving residents another reason to be proud of their city. Seeing more than 10,000 people attend our events confirms that Laval was ready for experiences like these,” he said.
According to the organizers, visitors travelled from Laval, Montreal and elsewhere in the Greater Montreal area, generating economic activity while showcasing local entrepreneurs and organizations.
Exhibitors expected to return
Festival organizer James Bissi said many exhibitors have already expressed interest in participating again next year.
“The enthusiasm from both our exhibitors and our visitors exceeded every expectation. Many exhibitors have already expressed their desire to return next year, which is the greatest compliment we could receive,” he said.
The organizers say planning for the 2027 editions is already underway and will include expanded programming and new attractions.
Building a summer tradition
Organizer Emilio Migliozzi said the long-term objective is to establish the events as recurring summer attractions for Laval.
“From the very beginning, our objective was to create events that unite people through exceptional food, beverages, wellness and culture while showcasing everything Laval has to offer,” he said.
The Festival des Vins et Spiritueux de Laval focuses on wine, spirits and gourmet experiences, while the Festival Manger Santé de Laval promotes healthy living through nutrition, wellness and local entrepreneurship.
According to the organizers, the two festivals are intended to become an annual summer celebration highlighting culture, local businesses and community life in Laval.
