FC Supra du Québec midfielder Sean Rea has been named the Canadian Premier League (CPL) Player of the Month for April 2026 following a strong start to the club’s inaugural season.
The honour comes after FC Supra completed its first month in the league with a 2-1-0 record, according to a press release issued by the club on May 5.
Several FC Supra players recognized
In addition to Rea’s individual award, five other FC Supra players earned selections to the CPL’s Gatorade Team of the Week during April. Those players were Diyaeddine Abzi, Loïc Kwemi, Alessandro Biello, Matisse Chrétien and Charles Auguste.
Rea, who plays in midfield, recorded one goal and one assist during the opening month of the season. According to the club, he also created nine scoring chances and contributed defensively by recovering possession multiple times.
FC Supra described Rea as one of the team’s main offensive creators during the early part of the season.
“While I am humbled by this recognition, it is a direct reflection of the work we have put in as a group,” Rea stated in the release.
Strong start for Laval-area club
FC Supra, the first Quebec-based club in CPL history, officially launched its inaugural season in April.
Head coach Nick Razzaghi said the recognition reflected the collective work ethic of the squad and the level of preparation behind the scenes.
The club has attracted attention early in the season for its roster largely composed of Quebec talent and for strong attendance during its first home matches at CEPSUM in Montreal and later at Stade Boréale in Laval.
