Festival MOSAÏQUE announces return of “Laval ou rien!” opening night for 2026 edition

The Festival MOSAÏQUE Laval has unveiled the first details of its upcoming sixth edition, including the return of its opening night event “Laval ou rien!” and the participation of Laval artists Shah and Naïma Frank as co-spokespersons once again this year.
According to a press release issued May 6, the festival will take place from Aug. 13 to 15 at Centropolis in Laval. Organizers say the full programming lineup will be announced on June 9.
A spotlight on Laval artists
The festival’s opening night on Aug. 13 will once again focus entirely on local talent through “Laval ou rien!”, an event organizers describe as a celebration of Laval’s artistic identity and cultural diversity.
As part of the evening, Laval artist Irdens Exantus will perform a free concert.
Originally from Haiti and based in Laval, Exantus blends gospel, soul, rap, pop and R&B influences in his music. Festival organizers say his performance is part of a new collaboration with the music competition Les Francouvertes, which guarantees one participating artist from the competition a place in the MOSAÏQUE lineup.
Exantus recently received the associated award during the Francouvertes semi-finals and remains among the finalists in the competition.
Shah and Naïma Frank return as co-spokespersons

Festival organizers also confirmed the return of Laval R&B artists Shah and Naïma Frank as co-spokespersons for the 2026 edition.
In addition to representing the festival publicly, the two artists are also expected to host several festival evenings throughout the event.
In the press release, Shah and Naïma Frank said they were excited to continue representing a festival that reflects Laval’s diversity and artistic community.
A growing cultural event in Laval
Festival MOSAÏQUE is a free multidisciplinary event that highlights cultural diversity through music, performances and artistic programming.
Held annually at Centropolis, the festival has become one of Laval’s recurring summer cultural events, bringing together local artists, emerging performers and residents from across the region.
