Nearly 900 graduates celebrated at Collège Montmorency’s 2026 graduation ceremony

Nearly 900 students crossed the stage at Place Bell on June 8 as Collège Montmorency celebrated the achievements of its 2025-2026 graduating class during its annual graduation ceremony.
According to the college, graduates received a symbolic diploma before an audience of family members, friends, faculty and staff who gathered to mark the completion of their college studies.
The ceremony featured remarks from Director General Benoit Lessard, Director of Studies France Lamarche and representatives from the college’s academic programs.
Final ceremony for Director of Studies France Lamarche
This year’s ceremony also marked the final graduation event for France Lamarche as Director of Studies before her retirement at the end of June.
The college paid tribute to Lamarche during the evening in recognition of her years of service.
In her address, she congratulated the graduating class on the progress they had made since arriving at the college and encouraged them to pursue their future goals.
Lessard also congratulated graduates for their determination, perseverance and commitment throughout their studies while acknowledging the contribution of faculty, staff and families who supported them along the way.
Student speakers share their experiences
Before the traditional graduation cap toss, three graduates addressed the audience by reflecting on their college experience.
The speakers were Béatrice Restieri, a graduate of the Arts, Literature and Communication program (Media profile), Éric Ste-Marie, who completed the Attestation of College Studies in Social Work Intervention, and Lauranie Journault, a graduate of the Architectural Technology program.
According to the college, the graduation ceremony represents both a celebration of academic achievement and the institution’s mission of preparing skilled, engaged and open-minded citizens.
