Second Edition of Saint-François Year-End Celebration a Resounding Success
Over 900 participants gather to celebrate community and summer at Parc du Moulin
On June 21, residents of the Saint-François district came together for the second annual Fête de fin d’année at Parc du Moulin. The event was organized by Virginie Dufour, Member of the National Assembly for Mille-Îles, in collaboration with Initiative locale Saint-François en action, the Maison de la Famille de Saint-François, the Centre Défi-Jeunesse (Maison des jeunes de Saint-François), and Vélo S-F.
Supported by various levels of funding including “Diamond” sponsorship from MNA Virginie Dufour, “Gold” sponsorship from the City of Laval, and “Bronze” sponsorship from district councillor Isabelle Piché, the day featured family-friendly programming such as inflatable games, a pickleball workshop, a bike course, line dancing, a live music session, and prize giveaways.
According to organizers, more than 900 residents participated in the festivities.
“I want to congratulate the organizing committee, sponsors, partners, and all community actors who contributed financial support,” said Virginie Dufour, who also served as the event’s honorary president. “Together, we’ve turned this second edition into a key gathering to kick off the summer. This event shows what we can accomplish when we come together as a tightly knit community.”
Alice Boulianne, Director of Initiative locale Saint-François en action and spokesperson for the organizing committee, added:
“Proud of our mission, this collaboration reflects the strong culture of local organizations and community spirit in Saint-François. We are thrilled with the success of this second edition and remain committed to making Saint-François a vibrant and engaging place for residents of all ages. This bodes well for a third edition in 2026.”
