The Festival des bières de Laval will return to the Centre de la nature from July 10 to 12 as the event celebrates its 10th anniversary with a program featuring music, comedy, food and beer tastings, and family activities.

The anniversary edition was officially unveiled April 22 during a launch event held at the Laval microbrewery Les Insulaires. The festival is produced by the experiential agency Concept B and presented with support from Loto-Québec.

A major summer gathering in Laval

According to organizers, more than 70 exhibitors are expected this year, including over 40 Quebec microbreweries alongside local food vendors and artisans.

The musical lineup announced so far includes:

  • Les Louanges
  • Francis Degrandpré
  • Shah Frank
  • Steph Morin
  • Wesli

Comedy performances will also be part of the programming through the Meubles RD Zone, although the complete list of comedians has not yet been released.

“Since the very beginning, what drives us is the desire to showcase the best of Québec, its brewing creativity, its culinary know-how and its passionate artisans,” stated Luc Rousseau, president and CEO of Concept B, in the official release.

Family activities and environmental initiatives

Organizers say the festival will once again include a family-friendly area through the Toyota Vimont Family Zone, offering shaded spaces and activities aimed at younger visitors.

The event also plans to continue its environmental efforts by promoting responsible sourcing and reducing its ecological footprint.

Festival-goers purchasing tickets before May 2 were also eligible to receive a free commemorative 10th anniversary festival glass, according to organizers.

A mobile application planned

An official mobile application is also expected to launch ahead of the festival. Organizers say the app will provide visitors with access to maps, schedules, exhibitor lists and event information.
