Action Laval launches public survey on Laval’s most damaged streets

Municipal opposition party Action Laval has launched a public survey inviting residents to identify what it calls the city’s worst roads, in an initiative modeled on CAA-Québec’s annual worst-roads campaign. The survey was announced in a press release issued April 10, 2026 and is also promoted on the party’s website.
According to the press release, interim leader Achille Cifelli announced the initiative alongside Saint-Bruno councillor David De Cotis and Saint-François councillor Isabelle Piché. The party says the goal is to document deteriorated streets across Laval and to highlight road infrastructure issues in a way it describes as constructive.
The survey is available online through Action Laval’s website and social media platforms. Residents have until April 30 to submit their responses, and the party says the compiled results will be made public in early May.
In the press release, Cifelli said residents are in the best position to describe on-the-ground conditions. Piché added that the survey is intended to collect concrete information that could support long-term solutions, while De Cotis said Laval’s population of about 460,000 represents “as many pairs of eyes” able to report on street conditions across the city.
The launch comes as CAA-Québec is itself running the 11th edition of its province-wide worst-roads campaign, which is open until April 13, 2026. CAA-Québec says the campaign is meant to draw attention to damaged, poorly designed or unsafe roads and to push authorities to follow up on problem areas.
Action Laval has not yet indicated whether it will publish a ranked list, a map, or recommendations once the survey closes. According to the party, the results will be released at the beginning of May.
