Signé Laval Cultural Market returns for a second edition in Sainte-Rose

The Signé Laval Cultural Market will return for a second edition on September 26, bringing local artists, artisans, music and dance to the Sainte-Rose neighbourhood.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the grounds of Sainte-Rose-de-Lima Church, located at 219 Sainte-Rose Boulevard.
According to organizers, the market is designed to create opportunities for Laval artists and artisans while making their work more accessible to the public.
Ten artists and artisans featured
Ten participants will showcase their work throughout the day: Bouclay La Boucle, Rebecca Belsito, Paul-André Alain, Daniela Pressinotti, Gabrielle Morrisseau, Coralia accessoires, Katy Lemay, Stéphanie Roy, Kévin Hoeppe and Patricia Alonso of Daria Art.
Organizers say the market is intended to provide a professional setting for local artists and craftspeople while encouraging direct interaction with residents.
The initiative also seeks to promote locally produced arts and crafts as an alternative to mass-produced goods.
Music and dance throughout the day
In addition to the market, several performances and participatory activities are scheduled.
Contemporary choreographer and dancer Audrey Gaussiran will lead two participatory dance workshops at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Gaussiran was named Laval Artist of the Year by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec in 2026.
Modern jazz singer, composer and arranger Sophianne Girard will perform at 5 p.m.
Rebecca Jean will close the musical programming with a performance beginning at 6:30 p.m. According to organizers, her work explores connections between Quebec’s multicultural influences and her Haitian roots.
Bringing culture into public spaces
The Signé Laval Cultural Market was created as an initiative of Culture Laval, Signé Laval and La Centrale des artistes.
Organizers say the project seeks to make art more accessible by bringing cultural activities directly into public spaces and creating opportunities for spontaneous encounters between residents and local creators.
The market also aims to contribute to the professional development and visibility of Laval artists and artisans.
Culture Laval is the regional organization responsible for bringing together and supporting Laval’s cultural sector. Signé Laval, operated by Culture Laval, maintains a collaborative cultural events calendar as well as an online magazine and directory of local artists and organizations.
La Centrale des artistes is a non-profit organization that develops professional artistic projects aimed at increasing access to culture.
The September 26 event is supported financially by the Government of Quebec and the City of Laval through their cultural development agreement.
