FC Supra du Québec faced an unexpected disruption to its preseason preparations on March 17 following the collapse of the dome at the Multiplexe Bois-de-Boulogne.
The incident occurred the same day the club continues to finalize its roster ahead of its debut season in the Canadian Premier League, set to begin in April.
Regional support following facility incident
According to information shared by the club, no major disruption to training is expected despite the incident.
The Lakeshore Soccer Club quickly made its indoor facility in Baie-D’Urfé available to host training sessions, including an additional session scheduled for the following week.
FC Supra indicated that the Multiplexe Bois-de-Boulogne will continue to support the team by hosting remaining sessions where possible until the squad transitions to outdoor training in early April.
The situation was described as an example of collaboration within the regional soccer community.
Two midfield signings announced
On the same day, FC Supra announced the signings of midfielders Safwane Mlah and Olivier Correa for the 2026 season, with options for 2027.
The additions are part of the club’s effort to complete its inaugural roster ahead of kickoff.
Mlah, 24, previously played with Valour FC, where he made 39 appearances over two seasons. He was also named Canada Soccer’s Futsal Player of the Year in 2023 and has experience with clubs such as FS Salaberry, CS St-Hubert and AS Blainville.
Head coach Nick Razzaghi said Mlah brings both experience and familiarity with several players already in the squad.
Offensive depth added to midfield
Correa, 23, joins from CS St-Laurent after a 2025 season in Ligue1 Québec where he scored eight goals.
Developed at AS Pierrefonds, he also played at the NCAA Division I level with Jacksonville University, scoring 19 goals in 65 appearances. He later competed with West Texas FC, where he received the league’s Golden Ball award in 2024.
Sporting director Mateo Cabanettes described Correa as a competitive player with strong attacking instincts and technical quality.
Countdown to kickoff
FC Supra continues its preseason training camp, with exhibition matches planned in the coming weeks.
The club is expected to open its inaugural Canadian Premier League season on April 11, marking the first time a Quebec-based team competes in the league.
Further details regarding a full-squad event and the club’s facilities are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
