More than 350 people gathered at Parc des Coccinelles on March 4 for a winter celebration organized by the Maison des enfants Le Dauphin during the spring break week.
Despite warm temperatures and melting snow, families, youth and volunteers took part in the event throughout the morning, creating a festive atmosphere that reflected the strong community spirit of Laval.
Organizers said they were pleased with the level of participation and the involvement of residents and partners who contributed to the success of the activity.

Activities for all ages
The event took place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and offered several activities designed for different age groups.
Among the attractions were a human foosball game, a life-sized Angry Birds activity and a mini-putt course. Skating and snowshoeing were also planned when weather conditions allowed.
A dedicated space for young children was animated by the Maison de la famille du Centre communautaire Val-Martin, offering activities adapted for toddlers and families.
Participants could also warm up with hot soup prepared and served by Au Panier, while hot chocolate was distributed on site.
Strong community partnerships
Several organizations and institutions collaborated to make the event possible.
Partners included the City of Laval, CDLC, the Centre communautaire Val-Martin, Enfant d’abord and Au Panier.
According to the organizers, these collaborations demonstrate how partnerships between community groups and institutions help bring residents together and create accessible activities for families.
