27 Collège Montmorency students receive perseverance scholarships

Twenty-seven students were honoured on February 12 during the annual perseverance scholarship ceremony organized by the Fondation du Collège Montmorency, according to a press release issued February 19, 2026.

Each recipient received a $750 scholarship in recognition of their determination and resilience throughout their college studies. The scholarships were awarded with the support of the Fondation du Collège Montmorency and the Fondation Croire en son rêve.

In total, $27,250 in financial assistance was distributed during the event. According to the foundation, recipients also received personal licenses for Antidote+ and Tap’Touche software, provided by Druide informatique, to support their continued academic or professional development.

During the ceremony, Luc Allard, vice-president of the foundation’s board of directors, addressed the students. In remarks quoted in the press release, he encouraged recipients to view perseverance as a lifelong strength.

The evening also featured discussion panels during which several recipients shared their experiences. According to the foundation, the exchanges highlighted the students’ academic journeys, sources of motivation and strategies for overcoming challenges.

According to the foundation, its mission is to support students in their academic success and to contribute to an enriching college experience for the Montmorency community. Established in 1985, the Fondation du Collège Montmorency has distributed $6.5 million through its charitable programs, reserved funds and direct support to the college.
