Three days of free winter festivities for the whole family at Laval en blanc

The City of Laval will host the 21st edition of its signature winter event, Laval en blanc, from January 23 to 25 at the Centre de la nature. Entirely free and open to everyone, the event will offer a festive program for all ages, featuring fireworks on Friday night, live performances under a heated tent, and a wide range of outdoor activities set in one of the largest urban parks in the metropolitan area.
“Laval en blanc has become a must-see winter tradition in Laval. Once again this year, visitors will be able to enjoy three days of free activities, shows and entertainment in the exceptional setting of the Centre de la nature. I invite everyone to get outside, stay active and come celebrate winter with us,” said Stéphane Boyer, Mayor of Laval.
A diverse program for young and old
Throughout the event, residents and visitors will be able to take on an obstacle course, join snow sculpture workshops and try out a variety of sports and playful activities, including via ferrata, axe throwing, archery, curling, open hockey, human foosball and giant games. Sliding lanes will also be open under the stars, with extended hours until 9 p.m.
On the performance side, the program will feature electric cellist Éric Speed accompanied by hoop dancers with illuminated rings, as well as family-friendly shows such as pastry juggler Gazby and the clown Atchoum, who will present a rock-inspired show for all ages. On Friday evening, Laval en blanc will light up the sky with a spectacular fireworks display synchronized to an energetic soundtrack. Percussion workshops with Baratanga will also be offered throughout the weekend.
Enjoying winter in Laval
