4th Edition of Laval Firefighters’ Blood Drive: “You Can Be a Hero Too”

Laval residents eligible to donate blood are invited to take part in the 4th edition of the Laval Firefighters’ Blood Drive, taking place on June 17, in collaboration with Héma-Québec and the Laval Fire Department. This year’s goal: to welcome at least 600 donors across five participating locations and contribute to Quebec’s vital blood supply.
“When we think about saving lives, we think of our brave firefighters. But you can become a hero just as easily by donating blood. One donation can help save up to three lives. It’s a simple gesture that makes a huge difference,”
— Sandra Desmeules, Executive Committee Member in charge of Public Safety and City Councillor for Concorde–Bois-de-Boulogne
A unique experience
In a fun and unusual twist, four fire stations will be transformed into temporary blood donation sites for the event. It’s a rare opportunity for residents to discover their local station and meet firefighters as well as prevention inspectors, all while taking part in a lifesaving act.
