After more than 300 days of active campaigning across the province, Charles Milliard is entering the final stretch of his bid for the leadership of the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ).

With bold proposals and strong commitment, Milliard has successfully stood out. Backed by a solid team of five Liberal MNAs: André Fortin, Madwa-Nika Cadet, Jennifer Maccarone, Virginie Dufour, and André A. Morin his campaign has focused on key priorities:

  • A dynamic economy centered on small and medium-sized businesses
  • Tailored proposals for each region of Quebec
  • Modern, accessible, and efficient public services
  • A confident and unifying Quebec identity
  • A much-needed modernization of the Quebec Liberal Party

His eloquence and mastery of the issues made him a standout in all six leadership debates, where observers noted both his substance and delivery. Many believe Charles Milliard is the only candidate capable of defeating François Legault, standing up to Paul St-Pierre Plamondon in debates, and winning the 2026 general election.

He is riding a wave of support, especially from young people across Quebec who encouraged his candidacy in May 2024. Notably, voters aged 25 and under represent one-third of the electoral points in the PLQ leadership race.

According to him with strong regional endorsements and the sale of thousands of party memberships, all signs point to a potential victory for Milliard on June 14.

“What makes me most proud, beyond the concrete proposals of my team and my performance in debates, is the intergenerational coalition we’ve built — one that reflects every region of Quebec. Whether elected officials, youth members, or supporters from diverse political backgrounds, our movement is deeply rooted in Quebec’s realities. The Quebec Liberal Party is at a major turning point. With my team, we represent the change Quebec needs to win in 2026,”
