The Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Laval has officially assumed the role of local lead organization for the OSEntreprendre Challenge in Laval, according to a press release issued January 29, 2026.

Under this mandate, CCILaval will oversee the deployment and coordination of the initiative on Laval territory. The announcement marks a new phase for the local organization, whose stated mission includes supporting and promoting entrepreneurs at all stages of their development.

A province-wide entrepreneurial movement

The Défi OSEntreprendre is described as a Quebec-wide movement that highlights entrepreneurial projects from the school level to established businesses. The initiative operates at local, regional and national levels, with hundreds of coordinators involved across the province.

In Laval, the School and Student streams of the challenge will continue to be managed by the Centre jeunesse emploi de Laval, which is responsible for coordinating activities with schools and young participants. According to the press release, CCILaval also acknowledged the contributions of Laval économique and Korpus, organizations that supported previous editions of the challenge in Laval.

The release further noted that the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Laval is expected to play a growing role in future editions, as part of a gradual transition aimed at mobilizing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Registration open until March 11

Applications are currently open to students, educators and entrepreneurs in Laval. The deadline to submit a candidacy is March 11, 2026, at 4 pm.

Information regarding eligibility criteria, competition categories and special awards is available on the official OSEntreprendre website. According to the organization, more than $500,000 in prizes will be awarded across Quebec this year, in addition to visibility and recognition opportunities for participants.

Local support and upcoming awards

As the local lead, CCILaval stated that it will offer guidance and support to Laval participants throughout the application process. A local awards ceremony is planned in the coming months to recognize Laval laureates before they advance to the regional and national stages.

Through this mandate, CCILaval indicated its intention to position the OSEntreprendre Challenge as a lever for mobilization and collective pride within Laval’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
