Cora unveils refreshed brand image and new breakfast concepts

The breakfast restaurant chain Cora has announced a major evolution of its brand image, including updates to its visual identity, menu presentation, food photography and restaurant design. According to the company, the initiative is intended to modernize the brand while remaining aligned with its original identity, as consumer expectations continue to evolve.
Cora says it is working with multiple creative and design partners to progressively roll out the refreshed concept across its network. New menu items have also been introduced, with the company stating that these additions aim to further redefine the breakfast experience.
New design concept rolling out nationwide
The restaurant design mandate was entrusted to Artesa Architectes Concepteurs, which developed a warmer and more colourful interior concept. According to Cora, all new restaurants will open with this design, and renovations will be carried out gradually across its 125 existing locations in the coming years.
A first example of the new look opened earlier this year in Evanston, Calgary, with another location planned in Edmonton. In Quebec, the first restaurant to feature the updated image is the Cora location on Boulevard du Carrefour in Laval, which officially reopened in early December.
Menu updates and limited-time offerings
Cora has also refreshed its menu presentation and introduced new items, including breakfast tacos, a breakfast poutine, new variations of its signature “Ben et Dictine,” customizable potato sides and a selection of non-alcoholic mocktails.
The company has additionally launched a limited-time breakfast pizza category, featuring ingredients traditionally associated with morning meals, such as eggs, hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, maple syrup and fresh fruit.
According to Geneviève Duquette, Cora’s Director of Marketing, the objective is to continue offering original dishes that create memorable experiences for customers, a principle she describes as central to the brand’s identity.
A milestone for the Laval location
In a message shared on LinkedIn on December 9, the Laval Cora team stated that the reopening of the Boulevard du Carrefour restaurant represents an important milestone, describing it as a prototype for future deployments across the network. The post highlighted the collaborative work of franchisees, construction teams and partners involved in bringing the new concept to life.
Founded in 1987, Cora has positioned itself as a pioneer in Quebec’s breakfast restaurant scene. The company says this latest transformation is part of its long-term vision to remain relevant while building on its culinary heritage.
