A Community Crowdfunding Campaign Launches to Support Auteuil’s New Teen Space

LSB Laval – Loisirs Ste-Béatrice, in partnership with the Relais familial d’Auteuil, has launched a crowdfunding campaign titled “Ensemble pour l’Espace ADOS d’Auteuil – Un lieu à leur image.” The goal is to raise 25,000 dollars to help create a new gathering space for adolescents aged 12 to 18 in the Auteuil neighbourhood.
The future Espace ADOS, planned for the Auteuil Community Centre, is designed as a safe and inclusive environment where teens can meet, socialize and participate in creative or skill-building activities. Completion is scheduled for spring 2026.
Developed with and for local teens
The project is being built in close collaboration with youth through the ADOSConnexion committee. According to organizers, teens are helping define needs, choose features and shape the overall atmosphere of the space. They are also contributing directly to the fundraising campaign by producing short video clips to explain why such a space matters to them.
The campaign will run from December 8 to January 15 and relies on community participation, local ambassadors and the teens themselves. Public figures will also lend their support throughout the initiative, alongside campaign spokesperson Valérie Gendron, a fitness instructor with LSB Laval and journalist at Radio-Canada Mauricie.
How to contribute
Donations can be made through the Zeffy platform at lsblaval.ca/campagne-de-financement. Updates and additional information are available on the LSB Laval website.
The project is supported by the City of Laval’s 2024 Programme de soutien financier à la consolidation des organismes en développement social, as well as by Vimont–Auteuil MNA Valérie Schmaltz. Funding from LSB Laval has also been allocated over recent years.
Gina Mori, Executive Director of LSB Laval – Loisirs Ste-Béatrice, said the initiative reflects a longstanding priority: “This space is being designed with our youth so they finally have a place to gather in Auteuil, a place that reflects who they are.” She added that community participation will play a central role in bringing the project to life.
